Björk

Yesterday, the newest CD by Björk was released, and now I have it. She is the only artist by whom I have all the CDs in an orderly, legal, RIAA approved format. (Sorry PJ Harvey, U2, David Bowie, and many many more). The reason for this, is not my undying loyalty to Björk, or that I am her number one fan, but simply because nobody I know like Björk. I would go so far as to say they all hate her. So since I never had a broad internet connection (I've been up to 33800 baud...) at home, I've had to rely on Platekompaniet (, or in this case MediaMarkt Meyrin, who so selflessly keep sponsoring World Radio Geneva (eightyeigthpointfour (FM)). Well, I had a point, when I started writing, it is on its way to be forgotten. It's not really about Björk at all. I understand why people, most people, even, don't like Björk, just as I understand that you don't like coffee (I have a hard time understanding people who don't like chocolate though). I admit Björk at many occasions sounds strange, and uninviting to new listener, but is it so strange that I like it? I think it sounds cool, I think it's attractively crazy, and I can't pick it apart, piece by piece and explain and justify why it is likeable. And quite frankly, I don't think I have to, and I don't want to. I don't want to justify why I like something.
And while I'm at it, I reserve the right to not like something, even though it might have been admired through centuries! OK, so there it is. If you ever question my political, artsy, tasty or whatever correctness, I'm just going to refer to this, OK? See you later.

Where is the line with you?
