Rooibos
Today's featured article is about the tea, or more specifically, infusion that I'm not pooring into my head.
It is Rooibos leaves, coming from a plant only growing in the Cedarberg Mountain region and around Clanwilliam and Citrusdal in South Africa. The leaves are fermented and left to dry in the sun, and that process makes it all red, so it's sometimes referred to as red tea. Contrary to black, proper tea, this does not contain caffeine, and it is actually supposed to help against insomnia, along with helping against constipation, hay fever, colic and stomach cramps. Yay! But it really tastes like shit.
This has rather unexpectedly been introduced into my life by Andreas whom I live with. He just spent his 7th semester of his engineering degree in South Africa at some university, but now he's back home.
