The appreciation of a dull life

I'm supposed to be working. Working on my lame thesis.

There is sun outside — and here I'm sitting, imitating life. So I thought I'd humour you and myself with some pictures.

China visa

But the future bears hope about a trip to China in October. John and I are planning a trip to China. That's fun. But we're a bit slow.

boom

I "fixed" our speakers, and now it's too loud with the signal from John's AirPort. So we put them in my suitcase to muffle the noise a little. Nice integration of "furniture" though. It's a pretty strong low-pass filter though, so it's not really hi-fi. But then again, it never was. I bought the speakers of some mildly retarded dude at a flea market for 100 SEK. It was OK.

dead goose

Malmö is full of rats, flying rats, and geese. Some of them die, inevitably. This one, in particular seems to have met Death rather abrubtly.

malmö town hall

Malmö is pretty.

coffee

To make it through our daily routine, we go through a lot of coffee, and smoothies, and this one, in between: an ice cafe latté.

I wouldn't worry about it now that you're still in July. Since you know where you'll be staying, you have a local guide :) and domestic train/plane tickets should be bought here only days in advance for best prices (if you plan to travel extensively _in_ China), there isn't much of that kind that has to be done this far in advance. On the other hand it doesn't hurt to read up on historical background and stuff.

Visa applications take 7-10 days to process, and the entry date (not to be confused with the period of stay) is three months from date of issue, so you'll be more flexible if you wait at least until the middle of August before you send them in.

Anyway, from October 1st we have a week off, so it would be great if you guys came at that time.
