Health and crisis minimization

John and I have been trying to get vaccinations. And while we were reading about this stuff, I realized that Norway, Sweden and the US recommended different stuff. After shopping around a little for vaccination places, we ended up somewhere in the outskirts of Malmö, and they had nice service: No BS -
Him: "You need a hepatitis vaccine. The rest is a waste of money."
Me: "But I haven't had a polio, tyfoid and difteria shot since 95, and the Norwegian..."
Him: "But this is different in Norway. They say you need it every ten years, but here..."
Me: "It's different?"
Him: "Yes, we have studies that show these vaccines protect you for 30 years. No problem. But if you, as a Norwegian citizen feel like you have to do what the Norwegian health board recommends, I'm not gonna stop you, but it's a waste of money."
Hey, I like this. Vaccines are kinda black-boxed to me anyways. Like vaccines are some kinda ticking patch inside your body that all of a sudden expires after ten years. "They" also say that you need the last Twinrix vaccine within 12 months, but he said it would probably give me good protection if I took it now. So that's what I got: HepA and B vaccine. I mean, he could be wrong, and I could die from all kinds of crap in China. But it's still nice with someone who isn't hysteric, and who is calmly saying it's not necessary. I wouldn't want some dude who told me I needed to live in a bubble, and take all kinds of pills and bring my own canned food and crap. No.

Anyways, now we've done everything we have to do before we go to China, provided that the passports return with the correct visa and stuff. But that's out of our hands now.
